My Dear Sir,
All naive and unversed
I wandered like a cloud,
with some faint notions in scratch,
the whole new horizons, to explore
I had.

Drifting with the winds and
tumbling amidst the hearsays
I knew the destination to reach
but not the leading ways.

The sun shone upon me
when I met ‘Thee’
You lead me along your simple contrivance
and helped me
to discover ‘me’.

From you I learned how to explore,
what to think and
every moment
how to grow a little more.
You motivated me
in my innermost resources
and inspired me
to make my existence
‘a life to live for’.

Your confidence in me
polished the raw self of me
to not only achieve what I wanted but
to shine along all that I had dreamed for.

Today when I trace back the times
I find a new ‘me’
But Alas! I fail to find thy eyes to appreciate
and thy hands to bless.
Many a writers would write about you
but I, an ordinary student,
after a long stitching and un-stitching,
still feels short of words to pen down
a person as You
and…
the loss of You…Dear sir,

Want me to talk?

Hey! It seems, many of you
Have felt, I am not talking!
What nonsense, my friends?!
I always feel I’m engaged
In a talk with your mind,
Right when you think of me!
More so, when you are reading
One of my forgotten junkies!

When, you still believe, surely
There might be a clue in it,
To yet an unknown avenue
Of our infinite ignorance!
Precisely there, my friend,
My mind connects surely
With yours, right through
That secret conduit to your
Thought Space, and I race,
To meet you all and talk
With pure passion to know!

To share your yearning mind
To know more, to munch,
To learn from you, all that
I am yet to learn and know!
When we meet physically,
Anywhere on this planet,
Believe me, and let me walk
Alongside you, and I promise,
Together, we could explore
Newer avenues of exploring
How much we don’t know!

If that’s what ‘research’ is,
Walk with me in all modes,
Giggling, smiling, gasping,
Even in silence if it has to be,
Anytime, anywhere, catch me!

And even assuming
you cannot catch me,
What you need to do,
is to catch my thought.
The moment you do,
The moment you know,
What you did not know.
The moment you say ‘Ah!’
The moment you smiled.
On that new theorem, that new Lemma.
I will come, I will talk.
But, I will not need to talk!
I would have transcended into
your Thought Space.
Lighting the next path.
Would you then still,

Want me to Talk?

“Goddess of Knowledge”
Who is that, my dear?
Asketh the novice.
Oh! Indians always say,
It’s none other than
The unseen ‘Saraswati’,
Adorning the ethereal,
Queen of all flowers,
The Lotus, its petals
Wide and sprawling,
Soothingly colored,
By the unknown Nature!

The mad mathematician,
Claiming it’s nothing
Other than ‘mathematics’!
If logic drives mathematics,
Whatever ‘logic’ means,
One asketh, first of all,
‘Define the term God’!
A barber once asked me,
While giving me a shave,
‘Sir, does ‘God’ exist?’
‘What makes you ask
Such a weird question?’
I asked in wonderment.
“Sir, none of my barber
Friends and foes alike
Has said ‘God came to me
For a haircut’ you see”.
He whispered, ‘Sir,
Have you seen Him?!’

I said, “‘God’ is a term
Which means to me
What all I don’t know!
That is, my ‘ignorance’.”
‘Hmmm!’ He hummed.
A reflective while
Later, he bemused me
By asking, ‘Then, “What
should be ‘Godess’, Sir?”
“It should be ‘knowledge’!”
I said. He slowed down
His shaving silently.
Oh! Suddenly, I wondered
“Goddess of knowledge”
Would simply mean
“Knowledge of knowledge”?
Is that what ‘mathematics’
Is? I still wondered!
I was lost in the world
Of my thought space soon.
What about ‘infinity’
For the meaning of ‘God’?
Then, ‘Goddess’ would be
To mean ‘finite’, you see!
Hence, what shall we
Mean by the equivalent
“Finite of knowledge” of
“Goddess of knowledge”?!
Or, is that equivalent to
‘Knowledge is finite’?
Howsoever vast it is,
Knowledge is finite,
For, we record all that
We know for posterity
To ‘understand’ and
Follow up to acquire
More of what is not
Known, you see! Oh,
So, “Goddess of knowledge”
Is to say, ‘knowledge
Is finite, and hence
That “Ignorance is God”!

And ‘ignorance’ is
Infinite indeed! Amen!

WITH TEARS FLOWING DOWN,
I CAN’T RESIST MY EMOTIONS
FOR THE LOVE OF A MAN
WHOSE LIFE’S MESSAGE
WAS ONLY LOVE, SERVICE,
LOVE, SERVICE AND LOVE
AND WITH GRIT AND SMILE
OF A POWERFUL YET SOFT
HEARTED LOVING FRIEND
WHOSE SMILES HAVE BEEN
MY SOURCE OF CONFIDENCE!
