My! My!…. Room -Kavihi

lookdown.png
My room went upside down,
I gave a cute frown.

I saw myself in the mirror,
and saw instead of my legs, my head was down.

My room was again normal,
and finally my legs were on ground.

Again my room went upside down,
I banged my head on the ground & got a natural crown.

I started shouting mom! mom….
My mom came running with a mop.

Mom look at this stupid room,
Which remains upside down.

She told me what can a room do
when your leg is hanging on the windowsill
upside down….

Under the sandalwood tree
Who loves to lie with thee,
and tune his peaceful flute,
unto the peacock’s note
go tither, go thither, go tither,
Nowhere shall you see
an enemy,
even the winter and rough weather.

Even he, who won’t ambition shun,
loves to live i’ the sun,
still seeking the food he eats,
and still pleased with what he gets.
Go tither, go tither, go tither,
Nowhere shall you see
an enemy,
even the winter and rough weather.

Summary:
The author asks the reader to go to a country which is green and peaceful, where one finds no enemies and where one can live without a roof above one’s head even in winter and rough weather, where even men of ambition are ethical and satisfied with what they get, where the flute is played to the tune of the peacock’s coo.
